Arrogant, Elitist Left Wingers get it wrong AGAIN!

I was recently reading the online Newsweek article entitled "Saint Sarah
To white evangelical women, Sarah Palin is a modern-day prophet, preaching God, flag, and family—while remaking the religious right in her own image."

I liked how Kelsey (Uffda) over at C4P put it "Newsweek, bless its little money-bleeding heart, is trying desperately to make a buck by putting Sarah Palin on its cover."

I knew when I started reading the piece I would likely disagree with every point in it. One particular point the writer Lisa Miller tries to make is "...but a certain kind of conservative, Bible-believing woman worships her." There they go again...putting down people of faith and belittling believers.




I think back to the Head Elitist Barack Obama's statement: "They cling to guns or religion.”


Obama was wrong in 2008, and Ms. Miller is wrong in 2010. I know many pro-Sarah ladies who are also believers in Christ, and they certainly do not worship Governor Palin. That is such a ludicrous statement on so many levels. Not all of Governor Palin's avid supporters are white women, and being an avid supporter does not mean you worship her. True Christians and devout Jews know what the First Commandment is.

Not all of Governor Palin's supporters are Christians either. Not all are from "the back woods" and rednecks. We are doctors, lawyers, school teachers, accountants, construction workers, students, and everything in between. We are young and old. We are Jewish, Christian or any number of the various religions out there, and people with no religion at all. We are Black and White, Native American, Indian, Hispanic, Oriental and again, everything in between. We are straight and gay. Does that mean we all agree on everything? Certainly not, but one thing we do agree on is our support of Governor Palin. Does that mean we agree with Governor Palin 100% of the time? No, we don't. I may not like all of the Governor's endorsements, but that does not change my support for her one bit. Our 2012 Draft Sarah Committee Media Rep Adrienne Ross and others were interviewed by Scott Conroy of CBS, and he wrote, "Ross and other prominent members of what might best be described as the ‘Sarah Palin community’ reject the notion that they are blind followers in a political cult of personality. They are clearly sensitive to being painted with a label that they instead attribute to President Obama's biggest fans." He was correct in his assessment of what I like to call the Palin Coalition.

So you Arrogant, Elitist Left Wingers, stop trying to tear down Governor Palin by trying to paint people of faith as knuckle-dragging Neanderthals. We will continue to cling to our Bibles, guns, and yes, Sarah Palin. She speaks for us, she is our standard-bearer, so get over it!

Super Tuesday results show that the "establishment" Republicans better start taking notice of Governor Palin

Super Tuesday show that the "establishment" Republicans better start taking notice of Governor Palin and her powerful voice in influencing the Republican Electorate. Governor Palin's endorsements of Carly Fiorina, Nikki Haley and Terry Branstad helped them win their primary or move into a run off .

I saw this interview (linked below) over at one of my favorite sites, PalinTV.com. It shows Governor Palin to be humble and trying not make a lot out of her endorsement. Clearly those endorsements made the biggest difference in these races but Governor Palin humility prevents her from being a glory hound. How refreshing is that?

I also read this article "Palin's backing pays off for pals" at POLITICO, that shows Governor Palin's endorsements paid off. The best thing in this whole process is the endorsed candidates know what put them over the top and don't mind giving credit where credit is due.

"Her decision to get - and stay - involved in the race here in South Carolina was a huge boon to our campaign, because it caused a lot of South Carolinians to take a second look at a rising in the polls but once-little known state legislator who was fighting to give them back their government,” Haley spokesman Tim Pearson said of Palin.

And this as well;

“Governor Palin’s endorsement was integral to the success of our campaign,” Fiorina spokeswoman Julie Soderlund told POLITICO. “She provides the ‘good housekeeping seal of approval’ for conservative, outsider candidates. After earning her endorsement we saw an immediate spike in support for Carly amongst conservatives, who represent the vast majority of Republican primary voters.”

Earlier I mentioned PalinTV. Well here is a clip I saw over there of Nikki Haley talking about the Governor endorsement.

SO Republican Establishment take notice and give credit where credit is due. I won't even ask the lefties to give credit where due because their hatred of the Governor is too deep for them to see the light. Former Governor Sarah Palin is the new voice of Conservatism!

Many of you have likely read or at least heard about the Palin's new neighbor, Joe McGinniss. Who is Joe McGinniss? Well he calls himself a journalist and author of true crime and non-fiction novels, but I and many other Palin supporters call him a stalker. At first I thought he was just an overbearing lefty trying to dig up something on the Former Governor and her family for his book until I read this:

UPDATE: (via Politico's Ben Smith): I haven't been able to reach McGinniss, but did send an errant email to his son, the novelist Joe McGinniss Jr., who replied, "Sadly, she's right. We tried our best to intervene, but alas, the heart wants what it wants. We can only pray for him now. He's convinced that Todd will step aside and when the time is right, he'll be there, right next door, to pick up the pieces."

Wow, talk about creepy! That certainly meets the standard if you ask me. The publisher of his book is Random House, I wonder why they support such actions.

Spring has sprung in Alaska, and with this beautiful season comes the news today that the Palins have a new neighbor! Welcome, Joe McGinniss!

Yes, that Joe McGinniss. Here he is – about 15 feet away on the neighbor’s rented deck overlooking my children’s play area and my kitchen window. Maybe we’ll welcome him with a homemade blueberry pie tomorrow so he’ll know how friendly Alaskans are.

We found out the good news today. Upon my family’s return this morning from endorsement rallies and speeches in the Lower 48 states, I finally got the chance to tackle my garden and lawn this evening! So, putting on the shorts and tank top to catch that too-brief northern summer sun and placing a giddy Trig in his toddler backpack for a lawn-mowing adventure, I looked up in surprise to see a “new neighbor” overlooking my property just a stone’s throw away. Needless to say, our outdoor adventure ended quickly after Todd went to introduce himself to the stranger who was peering in...

Joe announced to Todd that he’s moved in right next door to us. He’s rented the place for the next five months or so. He moved up all the way from Massachusetts to live right next to us – while he writes a book about me. Knowing of his many other scathing pieces of “journalism” (including the bizarre anti-Palin administration oil development pieces that resulted in my Department of Natural Resources announcing that his work is the most twisted energy-related yellow journalism they’d ever encountered), we’re sure to have a doozey to look forward to with this treasure he’s penning. Wonder what kind of material he’ll gather while overlooking Piper’s bedroom, my little garden, and the family’s swimming hole?

Welcome, Joe! It’ll be a great summer – come borrow a cup of sugar if ever you need some sweetener. And you know what they say about “fences make for good neighbors”? Well, we’ll get started on that tall fence tomorrow, and I’ll try to keep Trig’s squeals down to a quiet giggle so we don’t disturb your peaceful summer. Enjoy!

During the 2008 campaign Candidate Obama made a speech where he stated, that with he and his campaign, words meant something and he promised a change in how things were done in Washington. A friend of mine sent me the video below this morning from Breitbart, http://www.breitbart.tv/ that serves as yet ANOTHER reminder that with President Obama and his allies in Congress it was Just Words, Just Speeches... In this video he promised he would not use Executive Orders to circumvent the laws that came out of Congress. Yet with his promise to issue an executive order designed to appease a handful of Pro-Life Democrats who have held up health care reform in an effort to restrict Federal funding of abortions, he shows us he is not what he told us he was during the campaign. One way or the other this is more of the same... "Just Words, Just Speeches". The truth is that this President promised change in Washington, yet shows what he said to get elected is not how he governs. So yes it was "Just Words, Just Speeches". I can promise you one thing, in November we will not forget. A couple days ago Governor Palin shared a link to a petition on her Facebook Notes, that serves as a reminder to Congress of that fact, we will not forget in November. It amazes me how often the media seems to purposely misreport events as they relate to Governor Palin. Yesterday I ran across a story online with the headline: "Palin loads up on freebies at Oscar gifting suite". I reeived a copy of this release below from Meliss Lemer Co-Owner of The Silver Spoon that sets the record straight.

The "mainstream" media has been called the Lamestream media by many, THIS kind of reporting is a perfect example of why they are called that. Whatever happened to reporting the facts?

Come on media do your job! Report the WHO, WHAT, WHEN and WHERE and stop the spin and personal attacks.

Untruthful Articles Re: Palins taking free stuff in LA.

The Silver Spoon, a company owned and operated by women and established with a firm belief in supporting women in business and leadership, invited Governor Sarah Palin and her family to participate in a charitable function sponsored by The Silver Spoon and the Red Cross to support the Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts in Haiti. Governor Palin graciously accepted since it was in support of such a worthy and timely cause. The governor arrived with a small group about 15 minutes prior to our store’s official opening; and upon arrival, she and her entire group gave generous donations to the cause. We offered to open early to accommodate her schedule; she did not ask us to open early. The other venders routinely set up an hour before the event opens, so they were already there when the governor arrived. No one was asked to come in early. When Governor Palin arrived, she and her guests made generous donations. I escorted her around and introduced her to every vendor, and they talked to her about their products and gifted her with samples. She never asked for anything but politely accepted the products. The governor and her family and guests were very gracious and respectful to everyone. We asked and the governor happily agreed to take a photo with the American Red Cross staff and the staff of The Silver Spoon. The governor stayed for a total of about 35 minutes, thanked everyone, made an additional generous personal donation pledge to the Red Cross, and then departed.

The stories currently circulating about Governor Palin’s attendance at our event are total fabrications. Just one example of the many falsehoods is the ridiculous idea that Governor Palin walked away with 40 AIAIAI headphones. In reality, she was given two pairs of AIAIAI headphones – one for herself and one for her daughter Bristol who could not attend the event. The idea that she took 40 pairs is an outrageous falsehood. It would have been impossible because the vendors only bring around 100 items for the entire two day event. They would have run out of product after an hour of opening yesterday.

Just to clarify things, the entire point of giving someone a swag bag is to have them take your product and hopefully purchase more. The whole point of giving away products is to “give them away.” That’s why we call this type of event style a “gifting suite.”We would like an immediate retraction and an apology to The Silver Spoon, its vendors, and especially to Governor Sarah Palin.

"Americans for Sarah Palin" Are they really!?

There are many good Facebook pages out there supporting Governor Palin. A few out there seem to be all about trashing Governor Palin. One in particular that saddens me is "Americans for Sarah Palin". Seems like most of the comments there are nothing but anti Sarah Palin trash. I wrote their "Admins" on a couple occasions and have not heard back. I think this group actually started out as a Pro Sarah group but it sure does not seem that way now. They have nearly 145,000 members who I bet, thought they were joining a Pro Sarah group. I can no longer post on the page so I assume they have banned me. I had posted a comment asking where the Admins are and why do they allow such trash... I guess they did not like that. If you are a member of that page why don't you ask them why do they seem to come across as a Pro Sarah group but really are all about making Governor Palin look bad?

Why SRLC Over CPAC?

When Governor Palin first announced that she would attend the Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC), rather than the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), quite a bit of talk ensued. Last month, the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee sent out an Alert announcing our support of her decision. CPAC 2010 began last Thursday, and the conversations about her decision not to attend began again.

Now that CPAC has ended, we turn our attention to the upcoming SRLC. SRLC is considered to be “the real proving ground for gauging A POTUS Run,” as Ron Devito, 2012DSC supporter, points out in his article, “Why Gov Palin Chose SRLC Over CPAC.” He cites Politico and CNN. Both point out why SRLC is an essential place for potential presidential candidates to appear. Devito also highlights many of the issues that factored into Governor Palin’s decision to choose SRLC over CPAC.

Inasmuch as this committee’s goal is to encourage the governor to run for president in 2012, we very much look forward to her attending SRLC in April and learning the results of that particular straw poll. In fact, what would be even better is for many of her supporters to go to New Orleans and participate in the poll.

2009 has been a challenging year for the nation, but one where Governor Palin has taken a stand on a variety of issues that are so crucial to America’s progress. It’s also the year of her best-selling memoir, Going Rogue. I am confident 2010 will be even more exciting.

The 2012 Draft Sarah Committee started 2009 by attending CPAC in February, which brings me to the point of this correspondence. CPAC, held in our nation’s capital, is the leading conservative gathering in the country. It was at CPAC where we were able to tell people more about the Committee, get feedback from Americans regarding Governor Palin, and acquire valuable contact information as we gained a myriad of online newsletter subscribers and volunteers. February is fast-approaching, and once again the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee wants to have a presence at CPAC.

Meeting Sarah (In The Villages, FL)

Monday night after a great men's Bible study I, my father in law, Earl Mock and my youngest daughter, Alyssa headed south on I-75 to get in line to get a bracelet to see Sarah Palin in person and get our copies of Going Rogue: An American Life signed. We got there around 11:00 or 11:15 PM. We set up our chairs and sleeping bags and settled in for the night. Nearly 115 people had already set up their place in line. Some arrived at 1 or 2 PM on Monday. It was a bit chilly, especially in the early morning hours. We met several nice Palin supporters including some really nice young folks, Kelly and Drew from Georgia . UGA students, but we won't hold that against them. GO GATORS!

I gave out several buttons and bumper stickers and sold a few shirts as well, both Monday night and during the day while we waited for Sarah to arrive. It was a long night but more than worth the wait. At around 6 or 6:30 AM the coffee cart came around and we got warmed up with some strong hot coffee and something called a scone.

Being in the top 115 or 120 in line we easily got our bracelets. After that we got a bite to eat and returned to Barnes and Noble to wait for them to form the signing lines based on the letter written on your bracelet. Ours was "B". Around noon they started forming those lines so we had to wait another 2 or 2 1/2 hours in yet another line. Sarah's bus arrived slightly after 2:30. They had already called all of group "A" in and about half of "B" so that put us right in front beside the stage where Sarah would address the crowd and do an interview with Fox's Gretchen Carlson. Seeing her in person truly was like so many before me have written. She has a realness about her that no other politician has. She has an inner beauty that we only glimpse on TV that comes out even more in person. We were in a pretty good spot to take some good pictures. Be sure to check them out from the link below.

I believe she is a person who has been called for such a time as this. Our Nation needs common sense conservatives in Washington. Our Nation needs Sarah Palin.

At around 3 PM Alyssa, my father in law and I approached the signing table. Alyssa was ahead of me and she looked at Alyssa's shirt and smiled pointing at her shirt with a wink. I arrived at the table and she said she liked my shirt, I introduced myself, as the chairman of the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee and she thanked me for my support and encouragement. She sort of looked like she recognized my name when I introduced myself, but maybe that is just wishful thinking on my part. They were pushing the line through quickly so there was not much more time than that. I did get to chat with her dad Chuck Heath for about 5 or 10 minutes. I asked him to convince his daughter to run in 2012. Not surprisingly he did not really answer. My father in law commented that he seemed like a good ole country boy, just like one of us. I said that is what is so great about him and Sarah... she is one of us.

All in all it was more than worth the sleeping in a lawn chair, enduring the cold in our sleeping bags and waiting all day to see Sarah in person. I told a reporter, as we left the signing that Sarah was (is) my political hero. I think millions are saying that.

It was a pleasure meeting so many fellow Palin supporters, ignoring the hecklers hurling their insults and profanity at us did not hindering our resolve to see Sarah and those kind of actions will not hinder our support of her in the coming years.

I pray that God opens the doors for her to run in 2012 as I know she listens to God and will prayerfully follow where He leads her. Let's all pray, for the sake of our Nation, it is into the White House in 2012.

All this admiration is not for shallow reasons. I (and millions more) admire her because She is an unashamed follower of Christ, she is Pro Life, Pro Energy Independence, Pro Business, Pro Military and she a Fiscal Conservative, just to name a few of the reasons I support her. She admires Ronald Reagan and studies his policies and approaches to problems facing this nation then and now and can and will apply those wisdoms in a Palin White House.

My hope is that one day I will be able to sit down with her for a few minutes to share these reasons and many more of why I feel she should run for President in 2012. She is our Esther in 2012.

I post this as a point of discussion. Many have asked me if Sarah Palin runs in 2012 and does not get the Republican nomination will she run as an independent. Only she could answer that question for sure. I am sitting here reading a bit on Teddy Roosevelt (another great American Sarah has been compared to) and I have to wonder will the Republicans go down the same path they did in 1912.

Teddy Roosevelt was president of the United States until 1909. When he left office, William Taft was nominated as the Republican and won the presidency. In 1912, Roosevelt was unhappy with Taft's time in office and put his name forward to become the Republican Party's nominee again. The Party chose to stick with Taft. This angered Roosevelt who walked out of the convention and then formed his own party, the Progressive Party in protest. The party was nicknamed the Bull Moose party. It was taken from a quote by Teddy Roosevelt. When asked whether he was fit to be president, he responded that he was as fit as a "bull moose."

I urge the Republican Party not to make the same error by not supporting Sarah in 2012. I believe the Republican party will split again and that would mean a sure win for Obama and his fellow Socialist, ultimately destroying the America we know. The Republican Party is the party for Conservatives and if we put another Moderate/Liberal Republican as our nominee the party in my opinion will split to unite under the only true, proven and consistent conservative that is Sarah Palin.

If you feel the same as I do let your Republican Leadership at the local, state AND national level they need to get behind Sarah in 2012 and you are putting them on notice that you support Sarah and they need to as well.

NY Organizers met Governor Palin this past weekend.

Two of our organizers, Adrienne Ross, our NY State organizer NY-Organizer@2012draftsarahcommittee.com and Kristina Lazzaro our Buffalo, NY organizer, NY-Buf@2012draftsarahcommittee.com got the pleasure of meeting Governor Palin in person when she was in upstate NY. Auburn, NY was celebrating 50 years of Alaska's statehood. William Seward, who spent much of his life in Auburn is largely responsible for Alaska becoming a state, so Auburn is celebrating Founder's Day--and the governor of Alaska made the long trip from Alaska to the lower 48 to take part in the celebration. Palin also attended an autism awareness fundraiser sponsored by Autism Speaks at Manhattanville College on June 7, 2009 in Purchase, N.Y.

I can not recapture the awesome accounts that Adrienne and Kristina gave so go to their blogs to read the full account. Man I wish had been able to have been there!

We are a diverse committee of Americans from across America who have been inspired by Governor Sarah Palin and feel she should be the next President of the United States. This committee has been formed to encourage Governor Sarah Palin to run for U.S. President in 2012. The 2012 Draft Sarah Committee is registered with the Federal Elections Commission as a draft committee. The requirements on who can contribute are the same as for any federal elections. 2012 Draft Sarah Committee forms Executive Board

Colorado Springs, CO – 20 April 2009

The 2012 Draft Sarah Committee (http://www.2012draftsarahcommittee.com/) formed an Executive Board of Directors last week which will help guide the committee members and thousands of supporters in their effort and sole mission to encourage Governor Sarah Palin to run for President in 2012.

Formed in mid-November by co-founders Paul Streitz of Darien, CT and David L. Kelly of Colorado Springs, CO, the federally registered draft Committee has grown from just a handful of supporters to thousands across the nation. “Over the last five months we have grown rapidly and now have 27 State Organizers who are working hard on our mission and are the backbone of our grassroots efforts,” said David Kelly, Treasurer of the Committee. Kelly added, “It was time to take the next step in our organization and build a solid infrastructure within our group to help support our volunteers and keep our focus on having Governor Palin as our next President.”

The (9) members of the Executive Board of Directors include Committee members from Alaska to Florida. The Board held an election for officer positions and elected Randy Highsmith as the new Committee Chairman. Highsmith was the Florida State Organizer. He has been heavily active within the Committee since its inception and is ready to lead and begin spreading the positive message about Governor Sarah Palin. Highsmith said, “Governor Palin represents so many everyday average working people. She shares our conservative values and is our standard bearer. That is why I am so passionate about our work and cause here at the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee.”

Paul Streitz, co-founder and previous Committee Chairman, decided to step down from his post. His hard work and untiring efforts to build a solid foundation for the Committee have been greatly appreciated.

Last week, several State Organizers held their first monthly “meet-ups” in their local communities. The meet-ups, which are public informal meetings of Sarah supporters, are intended to give all in attendance an opportunity to fellowship and network. Alaska State Organizer, April Moore, commented, “If brainstorming ideas with a group as committed and passionate as these folks in Fairbanks are is any indication, soon we will not be able to hold these meetings indoors! From our first meeting, we now have a Fairbanks Organizer and a Facebook Organizer. Volunteer, and there is a job you can do to help 2012 Draft Sarah Committee.”

The committee hopes to have State Organizers in every state in the next few months and plans on becoming increasingly active in their communities.

Gov. Palin is totally pro-life. Always has been. Always will be. She believes in a culture of life from cradle to grave. Her choice for Supreme Court judge was made in accordance with Alaska law. She chose the person most qualified from the names sent to her. The Governor's choice has a record of fairness. That is important as the courts sort out some very thorny issues. Governor Palin's choices were either a liberal or an independent. She went with the independent. And as the following article reflects - this selection process is flawed.

Process of selecting Alaska's judges is clearly flawed

Alaska courts have a long history of removing contentious social and cultural issues from the democratic process. Court rulings have forced private hospitals to perform abortions, ordered gay marriage and benefits, required taxpayer funded abortions and interfered with parents' rights to be involved in the abortion decisions of their minor child. These court rulings involve the creation of new and novel legal doctrines untethered to our Constitutional history, intent, or even language. The decisions of the public and their elected representatives are ignored, not to mention the rights of individuals to parent their children or perform services or charity without being forced into immoral and abhorrent practices. The Alaska courts have consistently struck at such basic moral rights as life, family, marriage and conscience, undermining in the process the essential pillars on which society is based. The church does not govern the secular world, which has its own legitimate autonomy, but autonomy does not mean exemption from fundamental moral law. It is the duty of all Catholics to take part in the secular world with such moral principles as their base. This includes the courts, how judges are chosen, how they decide and what they decide. Unlike other public officials, the judiciary operates largely outside the public scrutiny, including the judicial selection process. Policy makers who are elected officials are chosen in a public process and are subject to strict sunshine rules when policy is being made. Unelected policy makers — judges — are selected in secret and are subject to no effective public control or accountability. Therein lies the flaw in the selection process. Our selection method consists of a nominating committee, called the Alaska Judicial Council, made up of the Chief Justice, three lawyers chosen by the bar association and three lay members appointed by the governor. Thus, the lawyers are in the majority. The Judicial Council nominates candidates for appointment by the governor who must select from these nominees. In theory, though not in practice, the Judicial Council ignores political or ideological considerations when nominating, leaving those to the elected official, the governor. The State Constitution's laudable goal was to eliminate the political influence of elections and the cronyism of direct appointment. Regrettably, experience has shown that special interest influence cannot be held at bay, which now turns out to be the biggest legal special interest of all, the Alaska Bar Association. The Alaska Judicial Council deliberates and nominates in secrecy. It issues no reasons for its choices or rejections. Other than vague reference to "most qualified," (a term contained not in the Constitution but in the Judicial Council's own bylaws) or "best available timber," a wish by a delegate to the Constitutional Convention, no discernable standards for choosing nominees exist. Obviously qualified candidates are routinely not nominated. This year, one of only two nominees to the current Supreme Court vacancy was not nominated for the same position last year, thus appearing to have moved from unqualified to qualified in a very short time without any observable change in his actual qualifications. The judicial selection process is clearly flawed and in need of substantial reform. It was undoubtedly an error to entrust the choice of such important public offices to the bar association. If the legal profession and the judges who come from it would respect their role in the democratic system, the current system would work, but that has proved impossible. The temptation of power is simply too great. Short of a Constitutional amendment, the public and the governor can demand transparency in the entire nominating process, the creation of standards by which nominations are made, the elimination of ideological considerations and the nomination of the maximum number of candidates, not the minimum. The selection process and its results cannot be ignored. No progress can be made if time after time the unelected juristocracy intrudes on the workings of democracy with edicts shaping the world to their own ideological and moral vision.
