Super Tuesday show that the "establishment" Republicans better start taking notice of Governor Palin and her powerful voice in influencing the Republican Electorate. Governor Palin's endorsements of Carly Fiorina, Nikki Haley and Terry Branstad helped them win their primary or move into a run off .

I saw this interview (linked below) over at one of my favorite sites, PalinTV.com. It shows Governor Palin to be humble and trying not make a lot out of her endorsement. Clearly those endorsements made the biggest difference in these races but Governor Palin humility prevents her from being a glory hound. How refreshing is that?

I also read this article "Palin's backing pays off for pals" at POLITICO, that shows Governor Palin's endorsements paid off. The best thing in this whole process is the endorsed candidates know what put them over the top and don't mind giving credit where credit is due.

"Her decision to get - and stay - involved in the race here in South Carolina was a huge boon to our campaign, because it caused a lot of South Carolinians to take a second look at a rising in the polls but once-little known state legislator who was fighting to give them back their government,” Haley spokesman Tim Pearson said of Palin.

And this as well;

“Governor Palin’s endorsement was integral to the success of our campaign,” Fiorina spokeswoman Julie Soderlund told POLITICO. “She provides the ‘good housekeeping seal of approval’ for conservative, outsider candidates. After earning her endorsement we saw an immediate spike in support for Carly amongst conservatives, who represent the vast majority of Republican primary voters.”

SO Republican Establishment take notice and give credit where credit is due. I won't even ask the lefties to give credit where due because their hatred of the Governor is too deep for them to see the light. Former Governor Sarah Palin is the new voice of Conservatism!

During the 2008 campaign Candidate Obama made a speech where he stated, that with he and his campaign, words meant something and he promised a change in how things were done in Washington. A friend of mine sent me the video below this morning from Breitbart, http://www.breitbart.tv/ that serves as yet ANOTHER reminder that with President Obama and his allies in Congress it was Just Words, Just Speeches... In this video he promised he would not use Executive Orders to circumvent the laws that came out of Congress. Yet with his promise to issue an executive order designed to appease a handful of Pro-Life Democrats who have held up health care reform in an effort to restrict Federal funding of abortions, he shows us he is not what he told us he was during the campaign. One way or the other this is more of the same... "Just Words, Just Speeches". The truth is that this President promised change in Washington, yet shows what he said to get elected is not how he governs. So yes it was "Just Words, Just Speeches". I can promise you one thing, in November we will not forget. A couple days ago Governor Palin shared a link to a petition on her Facebook Notes, that serves as a reminder to Congress of that fact, we will not forget in November. Setting the Record Straight

It amazes me how often the media seems to purposely misreport events as they relate to Governor Palin. Yesterday I ran across a story online with the headline: "Palin loads up on freebies at Oscar gifting suite". I reeived a copy of this release below from Meliss Lemer Co-Owner of The Silver Spoon that sets the record straight.

The "mainstream" media has been called the Lamestream media by many, THIS kind of reporting is a perfect example of why they are called that. Whatever happened to reporting the facts?

Come on media do your job! Report the WHO, WHAT, WHEN and WHERE and stop the spin and personal attacks.

Untruthful Articles Re: Palins taking free stuff in LA.

The Silver Spoon, a company owned and operated by women and established with a firm belief in supporting women in business and leadership, invited Governor Sarah Palin and her family to participate in a charitable function sponsored by The Silver Spoon and the Red Cross to support the Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts in Haiti. Governor Palin graciously accepted since it was in support of such a worthy and timely cause. The governor arrived with a small group about 15 minutes prior to our store’s official opening; and upon arrival, she and her entire group gave generous donations to the cause. We offered to open early to accommodate her schedule; she did not ask us to open early. The other venders routinely set up an hour before the event opens, so they were already there when the governor arrived. No one was asked to come in early. When Governor Palin arrived, she and her guests made generous donations. I escorted her around and introduced her to every vendor, and they talked to her about their products and gifted her with samples. She never asked for anything but politely accepted the products. The governor and her family and guests were very gracious and respectful to everyone. We asked and the governor happily agreed to take a photo with the American Red Cross staff and the staff of The Silver Spoon. The governor stayed for a total of about 35 minutes, thanked everyone, made an additional generous personal donation pledge to the Red Cross, and then departed.

The stories currently circulating about Governor Palin’s attendance at our event are total fabrications. Just one example of the many falsehoods is the ridiculous idea that Governor Palin walked away with 40 AIAIAI headphones. In reality, she was given two pairs of AIAIAI headphones – one for herself and one for her daughter Bristol who could not attend the event. The idea that she took 40 pairs is an outrageous falsehood. It would have been impossible because the vendors only bring around 100 items for the entire two day event. They would have run out of product after an hour of opening yesterday.

Just to clarify things, the entire point of giving someone a swag bag is to have them take your product and hopefully purchase more. The whole point of giving away products is to “give them away.” That’s why we call this type of event style a “gifting suite.”We would like an immediate retraction and an apology to The Silver Spoon, its vendors, and especially to Governor Sarah Palin.

"Americans for Sarah Palin" Are they really!?

There are many good Facebook pages out there supporting Governor Palin. A few out there seem to be all about trashing Governor Palin. One in particular that saddens me is "Americans for Sarah Palin". Seems like most of the comments there are nothing but anti Sarah Palin trash. I wrote their "Admins" on a couple occasions and have not heard back. I think this group actually started out as a Pro Sarah group but it sure does not seem that way now. They have nearly 145,000 members who I bet, thought they were joining a Pro Sarah group. I can no longer post on the page so I assume they have banned me. I had posted a comment asking where the Admins are and why do they allow such trash... I guess they did not like that. If you are a member of that page why don't you ask them why do they seem to come across as a Pro Sarah group but really are all about making Governor Palin look bad?

Why SRLC Over CPAC?

When Governor Palin first announced that she would attend the Southern Republican Leadership Conference (SRLC), rather than the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), quite a bit of talk ensued. Last month, the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee sent out an Alert announcing our support of her decision. CPAC 2010 began last Thursday, and the conversations about her decision not to attend began again.

Now that CPAC has ended, we turn our attention to the upcoming SRLC. SRLC is considered to be “the real proving ground for gauging A POTUS Run,” as Ron Devito, 2012DSC supporter, points out in his article, “Why Gov Palin Chose SRLC Over CPAC.” He cites Politico and CNN. Both point out why SRLC is an essential place for potential presidential candidates to appear. Devito also highlights many of the issues that factored into Governor Palin’s decision to choose SRLC over CPAC.

Inasmuch as this committee’s goal is to encourage the governor to run for president in 2012, we very much look forward to her attending SRLC in April and learning the results of that particular straw poll. In fact, what would be even better is for many of her supporters to go to New Orleans and participate in the poll.

I post this as a point of discussion. Many have asked me if Sarah Palin runs in 2012 and does not get the Republican nomination will she run as an independent. Only she could answer that question for sure. I am sitting here reading a bit on Teddy Roosevelt (another great American Sarah has been compared to) and I have to wonder will the Republicans go down the same path they did in 1912.

Teddy Roosevelt was president of the United States until 1909. When he left office, William Taft was nominated as the Republican and won the presidency. In 1912, Roosevelt was unhappy with Taft's time in office and put his name forward to become the Republican Party's nominee again. The Party chose to stick with Taft. This angered Roosevelt who walked out of the convention and then formed his own party, the Progressive Party in protest. The party was nicknamed the Bull Moose party. It was taken from a quote by Teddy Roosevelt. When asked whether he was fit to be president, he responded that he was as fit as a "bull moose."

I urge the Republican Party not to make the same error by not supporting Sarah in 2012. I believe the Republican party will split again and that would mean a sure win for Obama and his fellow Socialist, ultimately destroying the America we know. The Republican Party is the party for Conservatives and if we put another Moderate/Liberal Republican as our nominee the party in my opinion will split to unite under the only true, proven and consistent conservative that is Sarah Palin.

If you feel the same as I do let your Republican Leadership at the local, state AND national level they need to get behind Sarah in 2012 and you are putting them on notice that you support Sarah and they need to as well.

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has managed to balance her family life with public service. Living the American Dream while ensuring it for other to enjoy.

Sarah's parents arrived in Alaska in 1964 to teach school in Skagway.

Palin was the point guard for the Wasilla High School Warriors when they won the state small school basketball championship in 1982.

In 1984, Palin competed in the Miss Alaska contest after being chosen Miss Wasilla that year. In the Wasilla contest, she played the flute and also won the title of Miss Congeniality.

After moving to the Valley and graduating from Wasilla High, Sarah earned her Journalism degree from the University of Idaho. She worked in media and the utility industry before beginning her public service 14 years ago.

Sarah was elected to two terms on the Wasilla City Council, and then two terms as the Mayor / Manager of Alaska's fastest growing community. During her tenure as Mayor she reduced property tax levels while increasing services and made Wasilla a business friendly environment drawing in new industry. The responsibility of managing dozens of employees including a growing police department and public works department, and overseeing the multimillion dollar capital and operating budgets provided her with hands-on, 21st Century relevant administrative experience. Sarah's demonstrated leadership was also recognized when she was elected by her mayoral peers as President of the Alaska Conference of Mayors. In this role, she worked with local, state and federal officials to promote solutions to the needs of Alaska's communities.

Sarah served as Chairman of Alaska's Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, which regulates Alaska's most valuable non-renewable resources: oil and gas. She also served on the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission. Sarah was named one of Alaska's "Top 40 Under 40", Alaska's Public Works "Person of the Year", and was recently inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society at Alaska Pacific University.

Sarah is currently an elected board member of Valley Hospital, has served on numerous boards and commissions throughout the State, and stays active as a marathon runner, sports team mom, hockey manager and school volunteer.

Palin is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Her husband, Todd, works for BP at an oil field on the North Slope and is a commercial fisherman. On September 11, 2007, the Palins' son Track joined the Army. Age 18 at the time, he is the eldest of her five children. She also has three daughters, Bristol, 17, Willow, 13, and Piper, 7. On April 18, 2008, Palin gave birth to her second son, Trig Paxson Van Palin, who has Down syndrome. The Palin family lives in Wasilla, about 40 miles north of Anchorage.

A Book Review (of sorts) Part 1 - Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska's Political Establishment on Its Ear

As I said in a previous post I can relate to Sarah Palin in so many ways. One of those ways is her faith in God. I am currently reading "Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska's Political Establishment on Its Ear," by Kaylene Johnson. It’s not a long book but it is a revealing book. It reveals what makes Sarah Palin who she is and from what I have read and seen from her on the stump, her faith in God is the biggest building block in her character. This post is not a chapter by chapter review of that book, it is more of what stood out to me. I suggest you get this book and read it for yourself and make your own conclusions.

In chapter two of this book author Kaylene Johnson recounts a time in Sarah’s life where she came to realization that God was speaking directly to her. Here is an excerpt of that part. "Over time, however, she began to notice that the words being spoken from the pulpit seemed directed not just to the general congregation but specifically to her. She found, too, that the music lifted her spirits in a way that nothing else did. And she discovered that when she prayed, she felt the presence of something far greater than herself." I think so many of us feel that draw or call from God into a relationship with Him and relate to Sarah’s religious foundation found only in Christ. Some of us find that at an early age and some later in life. Regardless of when it happens, it is something at the core of our very being. Johnson stated Palin held fast to the verse from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. In my opinion that is such a great verse to hold onto.

Palin also experienced a great deal of growth in her life from her involvement in High School sports. In her senior year of High School her basketball team made it to the state finals. Sarah had suffered an ankle injury just before the state tournament. Sarah playing hurt in the championship game scored the final points. I particularly liked what her coach said also in chapter two about that win. Here is an excerpt of that part. “Coach Teeguarden said that the girls showed what they were made of in that tournament. Sarah, like other players, believes basketball taught her what she needed to know about life. Teeguarden sees it differently. "Basketball doesn't create a person, it reveals who you are," he said. "Sports, like anything we do that requires effort, provide an opportunity for growth. You find out things about yourself and sometimes you find out that you have to make adjustments to become more productive and content.” What a true statement. I wrestled in High School and learned the same thing in my experience.

In chapter 5 after Sarah lost her bid for Lieutenant Governor, Sarah showed her beliefs and faith in my opinion by taking the loss in stride and saying “all things happen for a reason, and that there was a greater plan at work”. I feel this loss to Obama/Biden was for a reason as well. I think that reason is 2012 and is in part why I set up this blog site.

I’ll finish reading the book tonight and write more on my impressions. At this point all I can say is the more I learn about Governor Palin (from this book) the more I like her as a person and a public servant.

Since the loss of the Presidency and further losses in the House and Senate, on November 4th 2008, it has become more than apparent our party has lost its bearing. I think the Principals and Philosophies espoused by Ronald Reagan were the right ones for the Republican Party and the right ones for America. In my opinion the one candidate out there that is Reaganesque is Sarah Palin. Not only is she politically close to Reagan but Palin has a way of connecting to the common man (Joe Six Pack) like myself that makes her the right choice for the Republican Party and the right choice for America. Under my “Favorite Links” section you will see a link to “Sarah Palin on the issues”, I suggest you visit it to get an idea of where Palin stands on the issues. If Palin best represents your values then perhaps you need to help take the Republican Party back from the liberals and moderates. They already have a party; it’s the Socialistic, Democratic Party of Barack Obama.

You say, ok I agree with you, and that our party has lost its way. What do we do about it? It’s quite simple… get involved. Get involved in your local party structure. Most every county in America has a Republican Executive Committee and every state has a state party structure. Visit http://www.rnc.org/ go to the tab near the top of the page and click on the “State Parties” button then find your state. Go to your state party’s web page and look for a link to find your county’s information. Find out when your county party meets and join them. If your precinct does not have a committeeman in place let them know you would like to be voted on to fill that spot. After you are on your local REC you will have a direct voice in taking our party back and returning her back to the sound principled conservative philosophy.
